In this time I want to tell you about my dislikable food, the name is Nameko mushrooms. The reason why is that when I was an elementary school student, I vomited it out on the time of school lunch, because of at that day I felt so sick by chance and vomited it.
I could not have eaten not only nameko mushrooms, but also some kinds of mushrooms since at that day. I always rejected mushrooms from my food culture and I regarded it as my enemy.lol
In these days, I gradually discard my trauma and eat mushrooms except for nameko mushrooms. This is my changed food culture.
Do you guys have some your changed food culture since your good or bad experience?
When I was 18 I came to Japan by myself to visit my family. I spoke no Japanese and my family speaks no English. It was fun! My uncle decided to take me out for dinner, and he thought that I might want something similar to American food so he took me to a really fancy French restaurant for an 8 course meal. I like French food, but sometimes it's too fancy/snobby for me, so I was a little worried. The first dish was a scallop pate with a strange mustard/dill sauce on it. It was HORRIBLE. But I didn't know what to say and I didn't want to look ungrateful, so I forced myself to eat it. I drank a lot of water, but it was awful. The next dish was a cold tomato and cucumber soup which tasted like heaven. To do this day, just the thought of scallops makes me sick but I love cold tomato cucumber soup! Memories are strong influences :0)
返信削除Nameko mushrooms are not so bad. You just had it in bad timing! Rather I like it.
返信削除In my case, I can't eat oyster because it makes me stomachache. But, I don't have an allergy to oyster.
I like the tast, but I don't try anymore.
